Measurements: Male 12"h x 7"w x 6" depth, Female 11"h x 6.5"w x 5.5" depth Combined Weight: 6lbs 1930'S PHILIPPINES IGOROT Tribe Man & Woman Hand Carved Busts This half bust is from the Igorot people from the highlands of Northern Luzon in the Philippines. The quality of the carving makes this probably from the 1930s to the 1950s when these half busts were made for the first groups of tourists and then post war. There is great detail in the warrior's hair and hair basket, and the features and body form are beautifully modeled. The traditional pipe, hair band and 2024 wooden and bone necklace are featured as well. The Igorot were the last of the headhunters in the Philippines and were once a warlike people. Condition: Overall Good Condition for Antique Carvings. The Womans Pipe is broken as seen in pics and missing earrings on both. This has been considered in the pricing.
