Product code: Antique Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver Jelly Knife Server Renaissance (North Wind) Pattern 1890 - 2024 1899 Elaborate Monogram

Dominick and Haff Sterling Silver Jelly Knife Server in the Renaissance Pattern. This whimsical figural pattern features a North Wind Face on the handle and on the back of the knife proper in fine detail. Finding a piece in this pattern is a treat.

This pattern dates to 1894 and was designed by Gilbert J. Crowell, Jr. Dominick and Haff was based in New York City from 1868 - 1928. They would become a part of Reed and Barton in 1928.

This jelly knife is in excellent vintage condition - few very slight surface scratches on both sides of the blade but otherwise very fine condition considering the age of this piece. There are some 2024 'pricks' on the back of the blade edge which I have tried to capture in the photos which I don't know if it was done in the manufacturing process as the front of the curved blade is perfectly even. There is an intricate, interlaced period script monogram "AC" (?) on the front of the handle. The knife is hallmarked, marked sterling, and pat.94.

This is a really impressive high quality piece that would make a fantastic statement on any table. Perfect for the holiday table if you consider the face resembling Santa Claus with his long beard. Measures @ 8 1/8" in length and weighs over 2.5 ounces (@74 grams).

Will ship with care and with insurance.
