You are looking at a 1st Day Issue Z-Silk Cachet of NY Yankee player and manager Billy Martin. This fine item was created to commemorate Billy Martin Day at Yankee Stadium. The artwork is by S. Rini and the envelope measures 6 1/2 x 3 1/2". It is postmarked on the issue date of Aug. 10, 1986 and has a 22 cent canceled stamp. This cachet was signed for me by Billy in blue sharpie at a baseball card show that I promoted in Brooklyn, NY on March 4, 1989, just a few short months before his 2024 untimely death on Christmas Day of that year.. I have been selling autographed items since the 1980's and have never had a question about an items authenticity. My Ebay feedback is 100% since 1999. I promoted shows in Brooklyn NY in the 80's and had many players appear, including: Dave Winfield, Phil Rizzuto, Carl Furillo, Tom Seaver, Mookie Wilson, Chris Chambliss and many more.
