I'm pleased to offer this set of 6 small dessert plates. These beautiful plates were made by Alfred Meakin located in England in their Argyle pattern and were made in the early portion of the 20th Century. Each plate has a white background with a floral urn bouquet as the center design element, with an elegant gold laurel leaf on blue band near the bottom of the plate as well as the edge that separates a beautiful raised flower and scroll design. This is truly a beautiful set. What a great way to entertain at a small dinner party.
Maker: Alfred Meakin
Pattern: Argyle
Date: Early 1900's
Measurements: 7" in diameter
Condition: Great condition, no chips, scratches or cracks. Please Note: There is some gold paint missing on the edge and a few light knife marks. This is certainly to be expected with an item that is almost 100 years old. To me, it just tells the history of the piece.
