This is my rendition of Mount Jefferson in Oregon. It's in the Cascade Range, the second highest peak in the state, and is typically framed by evergreens and wildflower meadows.

I created my version of this scenic wonderland by wet felting various hand blended colors of wool and some silk, to impart a sheen and a texture filled background. I then needle felted in various details to bring together the warm and colorful hues of a sub alpine meadow in bloom.

Mounted and framed in a black, solid wood frame ~ without glass ~ to preserve the textural aspect of the fiber.

The artwork measures approximately 9.5 inches square. Overall dimensions are 10.75 inches square. A saw tooth hanger on the back makes wall 2024 display easy.
