Story behind this artwork:
This pastel was made on Indian ink painted Bristol paper and inspired by a Whistler painting that I've liked for years, but felt drawn to express in my own interpretation here. I created this just two days before finding out about the explosions in Beirut 2024 (Summer of 2020) and can see a similar echoing of the chaos/ explosions in the distance here. The beauty of art is the ability to transcend time and space and observe from other realms/ dimensions, to find connections, many times unconsciously.. and bring them to light.
Your print comes with a 1" white border with hand-signature at the right bottom and print edition number out of 250 along with a certificate of authenticity from the artist.
Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for delivery of your fine art print. Each comes carefully rolled in a protective mailing tube to ensure safest arrival.
