The fabrics are all 100% quality quilting cotton and the batting is an incredibly warm batting, which is light and fluffy but extremely warm and washable. Truly a quality batting for this heirloom quality quilt.

******Please be aware that quilts should be stored flat because of lines and fold marks that the cotton fibers can create. (Cotton manufacturers do not make cotton like they used to many many years ago!) You may wish to store them folded on the bias (cross ways) and placed in a cotton pillowcase if need be. Quilts should never be exposed to direct sunlight as fading and bleaching can occur and weaken the cotton fibers.*******

Many quilts sold are pieced by individual quilters/sewers who then send the finished front, or top of the quilt, out to be quilted by other quilting specialists who work on a long arm quilting machine - and can be quilted, by these expert machine operators, in just a few hours on the frame they are loaded onto. A long-arm quilting operator runs the threaded machine over the quilt and creates continuous patterns either produced manually or computer generated digital designs. This is a fairly quick, effective, efficient and pleasing manner in which to finish a quilt top.

ALL OF MY quilts,however, top, back, and quilting, are sewn completely by myself on my home sewing machine in my home sewing room.

Please be aware that my look is definitely more 'hand made' and not as pristine as the perfectly computerized machined stitches and patterns - which is achieved on a long arm machine. (and with Hand-Crafted comes irregularities and imperfections , and sometimes more than a few wonky lines and a few tucks - but with LOVE stitched in every stitch!!)

So again, be aware that my quilts look more' hand-crafted' than 'manufactured'. I spend a lot of time figuring out the actual quilting patterns, whether they be my signature 'feather' designs, or a modern 'pebble' motif, echo quilting, straight quilting stitches or free motion quilting to emphasize shapes, people, backgrounds, etc.,

IF this is the look you desire, then you will be pleased with your purchase - if perfection and immaculateness and 'manufactured' is what you're after, then you may want to look elsewhere for your quilts.

I have held your quilt in my lap, my arms and hands, for many, many hours, for many, many days, creating for you an absolutely hand-crafted, by Truelove, quality quilt! A 'simple' quilt can take between 15 - 25 hours to design, cut, piece, baste, quilt and bind. A more detailed quilt, according 2024 to sizes, can take between 30 - 50 hours. A complicated large quilt takes about 70 + hours to complete by myself.
With love and cuddles you quilt will get softer and softer.
