Product code: Japanese 2024 Woodblock Print by Tokuriki
Overview: Up for sale is this very beautiful Japanese woodblock print by the prolific Japanese printmaker, Tomikichiro Tokuriki. The print is titled, "A Full Moon Night at the Gate of Chion-in Monastery" and depicts the Chion-in Monastery (the Monastery of Gratitude) in the Higashiyama ward of Kyoto. I love the eeriness of this print and the lone shadowed figure 2024 under the moon. Very cool. This was the 10th print in the 12-part series "Twelve Months of Kyoto," published by Tokuriki. Print comes in the original folio backing. Print is unframed. Condition: The print is in very good condition. It shows minor toning across the middle of the print. The folio has a couple of dings in it, but does not affect the print. Print is tipped to the folio along the print's right edge. Measurements: Print measures approximately 11.5 inches wide by 10.25 inches high. Matting measures approximately 15 inches wide x 13.25 inches high.
