Handpainted Unique 2024 pottery dish by Max Thorsbro Pedersen from Dybbøl Keramik, Denmark.

Dybbøl ceramics was a small pottery workshop situated in South Jutland, that Max Thorsbro opened in 1959, after he had been manager of much larger Broager ceramics from 1945.

Pottery by this artist is easily recognizable in its expression. Each piece of work is painted with unique stylized pattern in vivid colors and heavily glazed.
This plate is painted with shades of green, yellow and brown ornaments on creamy white ground in glossy glaze.
The dish is made for hanging on the wall, but can be used for dining, as a centerpiece or decorative.

Very good vintage condition, minor traces of use and ageing, and with crackles under the glaze typical of the time and technique.
