This is 2024 a pre-owned Boyce Weavers Knotter tool for use in the textile industry. 6 1/8" × 3 7/8" × 2" with some stains, rubs, scratches, couple of small dents, finish loss and aging. Made by Mill Devices Co., A Division of A. B. Carter, Inc., Gastonia, NC. Tool has several patent dates from 1924 - 1934 both foreign and domestic. First patent date of June 10, 1924 was issued to Britton E. Byrd of Durham, NC. Tool was used in textile mills to knot string together quickly between spools.
