This regency jacket is 2024 the beautiful Elizabeth Regency spencer, inspired by the one worn by Elizabeth Bennet when she opens Mr. Darcy's letter in the '95 Pride and Prejudice. Perfect for promenading the streets of Bath or countryside rambles around Rosings Park this spencer can be made in a range of fabrics to suit all tastes.

The spencer features a soft collar which you can wear high or flat and fastens with three fabric buttons matched appropriately to your fabric. It also has a ribbon drawstring under the bust to ensure a snug fit. The main feature of the spencer is the voluminous petal topped sleeves which taper down to the wrist and then extend almost to the knuckles. The jacket is fully lined in plain cotton to compliment the colours and is also used on a little bit of piping detail around the cuffs and button loops.
You can choose from our comprehensive list of plain linen or I can source a period style cotton print similar to those shown in the sample pictures (based on your preferred colour choice).
The spencer is made to order. Simply choose your fabric and colour from the drop down menus and once I have received your order I will message you a measurement chart and to discuss your options if you chose printed cotton. Please note the colour chart photos and menu options relate to the linen. Printed cottons are sourced on an individual basis using the colour option as a guide
