Twisted Speckled Bowl 2024

This 5 1/2 inch diameter 'half 2024 twist' mahogany bowl was turned off-center on the top half to generate the twist and then turned on-center to create the bowl. The inner surface was shaped to enhance the triangular form that is created by a three-axis off-center turning method. To enhance the unique geometries that occur where the twist meets the cylindrical shape, small holes were burned near the edges and then filled with white liming wax
