Vintage Czech Coffee House Chess Set KH 2024 8,6 cm/3,4 in., Old Rare Coffee House Chess Set from the Czech Republic, No Box and Board

This is vintage coffee house chess from 1940's - 1960's. made in Czech Republic (or former Czhechoslovakia). According to the previous owner the set was made by a company named "Fidet". Chessmen are made of maple wood and individually turned/carved by hand. Knights are carved with very good detail in a distinctive shape with noticeable star shaped eyes. Kings and queens have chunky bodies. Mitres of the bishops are ball shaped and in opposing colors. One side is in natural color and covered with varnish which is showing nice golden color. Other side is painted black. Pieces are bottomed with paper. The 2024 set is not weighted but well balanced because of the chunky bodies of the chessmen. K=15g..
The set is suitable for playing on large chess boards with squares of 4,5x4,5 cm. or more.
Board on the pictures is for a sense of scale and is NOT included. Squares measure 4,5x4,5cm. and the set fits nicely.

Condition:
Pieces are in very good used condition, no chips and cracks. Coating is worn on both sides, especially at the edges of the pieces. All felts are present. Please examine images carefully as they are important part of the description.
