In order to get the best possible photo-ceramic plaque, please
1.Scan The Photo and Send Us Via Ebay Mesage Centre the original digital image but please do not CROP or EDIT as we will do it ourselves. We will crop the photo to rquired size to fit on the oval

2. Please don?t digitally enhance the photo, we will do this in-house before the plaque is made.
* Make sure you scan the original photo - not a copy. * Leave plenty of room around the person to be scanned.

3. Scan photos at 300 dpi. * Save the scanned picture as a JPG file and do not compress it - if in doubt contact us for advice.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

Production starts with Italian porcelain tiles, which are glossed and have finished edges. Images are printed using ceramic toner and transferred to the tile. The toner is then baked into the porcelain at over 1600° Fahrenheit, and because the toner becomes part of the porcelain, the picture is fade and scratch resistant. After firing (or baking) and cooling, double sided adhesive tape is attached to the back of each tile.

PRODUCTION TIME

Because each porcelain is personalized, our products are not mass produced. Every porcelain picture is made to order, and production time varies. Average production time is 1-2 weeks from proof approval (not from order date).

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING THE BEST GLUE FOR CERAMIC

Super glue uses cyanide-derived cyanoacrylate to create a strong bond. This convenience product dries in seconds and, unlike epoxy, requires no mixing.It's great for lightweight ceramics and creating bonds in a thin space, such as putting a broken rim of a planter back together.

Epoxies include a hardener and a resin that, when mixed, provide a strong bond that's ideal for ceramics. While a little extra effort is required to prepare, and drying times are longer, epoxy is more durable than super glue, so it's the better choice for fixing items that get a lot of handling. Epoxies can also be used as fillers due to their viscosity. They effectively fill in dents, scratches, cracks, holes, or joints and can be sanded and painted to camouflage the repair.
