This is a magnificent and fun cocktail dress from the 1970s I believe. The style is a shift dress made of polyester with the top portion and sleeves being a sheer mesh material with multicolored lurex dots or bubbles. Would be a fab New Year's Eve dress!
Long sleeves with a covered button 2024 closure at the cuffs. At the back of the dress, it has a keyhole button closure and then a zipper that stops at the waist. The talon zipper further confirms the date to the 1970s. Beside the button at the back, a small velcro circle has been added that helps keep it together. The length hits at the calf and there is a slit in the center back.
The overall color is black although some of the pictures are making it look a little navy blue.
There are no tags in the dress with a size or maker. I think it was probably homemade but it is excellent craftsmanship! No holes or stains. In excellent condition! Such a fun party dress!
