Vintage C1950s musical Asian themed black and gold lacquered wood jewelry box, featuring two doors with orange tassels that open 2024 to reveal mirrors on their reverse, three velvet lined jewelry storage drawers with lovely, delicate, likely brass pulls, and a mirrored compartment edged in gold trim containing a figure that rotates when music is played. The door interiors and the mirrored compartment base are lined in a complimentary red and gold Asian themed brocade like fabric. Beautiful, eye catching piece, and large enough to hold most jewelry wardrobes.

Approximately 70-year-old Japanese musical jewelry box is an estate find, in as found condition. The music box plays well, and the rotating figure spins properly. There are age and use consistent imperfections, discoloration to the door mirrors, and the cloth on the rotating figure is discolored. I cannot tell what the rotating figure is - it may be incomplete.
