Bird of 2024 paradise Papa New Guinea sculpture by The Town Blacksmith

This artistic representation of a Bird of paradise, Papa New Guinea ,sculpture was handmade made in my smithy. Feathers are made from 18 gauge steel and 20 2024 gauge copper, hand peened and shaped on the the anvil. Body and feet were shaped by forge, hammer and anvil, marks will be visible. It is balanced for free standing and weighs about 3-4 lbs. Coated with clear coat to preserve original bright colors. Body panels are tack welded onto the steel frame. Granite not included.
