On rear cover, the text, “9/78” might imply a publishing date of September 1978 for this edition, but I'm not 100% certain. A near fine copy of this rare and interesting collection of descriptions and lore for all sorts of magical and mythical creatures. With illustrations from various sources. Some very slight shelf wear around the edges. Binding is strong and spine is straight. All pages are clean and unmarked save for some faint blemishes near spine on top and bottom outer edges of text block - seemingly from residual binding glue discoloring the area.
