Cast Iron Cherub Boy with 2024 Bronze Holder on Back- Vintage Statue

A small cast metal statue of a cherub figure. This is on a bronze base with a holder of some sort on his back. Maybe it was for a flower stem or tool. I'm not 2024 sure of its purpose or history, but I think it's an interesting piece! Found at a flea market in NYC.
The base measures 2.75" in diameter. 5" tall. It has a felt bottom to protect your table.
