Handmade & Signed Portuguese Art Pottery Olaria Vital Janeiro Sao Pedro Do Corval 2024 Portugal Folk Art Country Farm Scene 11" Rimmed Plate Dish

This is a lovely handmade and signed Portuguese 11 inch folk art pottery plate from a pottery workshop located in the parish of Sao Pedro do Corval, a village in Portugal known for its old traditions in pottery using clay that is unique to that part of the country. The textured rimmed dish features a colorful design of a farmer and his sheep standing in a field with trees, hills and a windmill in the background in shades of brown, tan, green, blue, yellow, red and black with brown arches and borders around the rim. The pottery is marked and signed on the bottom "Olaria Vital Janeiro S. Pedro Do Corval Portugal" and measures approximately 1 1/2" tall and 11" in diameter. The dish is in good preowned condition with no chips or cracks, with surface wear including imperfections, scratches, scuffs, paint loss and heavy wear along the bottom rim.
