♥DETAILS:
Our Spirit Boxes are created by a Canadian Artist using driftwood collected from the shores of Ontario.
Red Cedar,otherwise known as Juniper fund along the birds migratory route. The birds eat the berries and spread the seeds.


Every driftwood box is unique in colour and shape, due to the nature of the wood.

The wood is distressed naturally from ice storms and age.

Each piece features a unique and natural unfinished edge, giving it a beautiful rustic charm.


Each one of my pieces has been lovingly hand made and skillfully hand finished by myself in my studio in Manitoba.


♥ SUSTAINABILITY:
I work with local arborists to save responsibly sourced wood from around Manitoba to create unique, one-of-a-kind custom products.

The wood product in this listing is 100% salvaged/reclaimed/re-purposed.

It is not the easy way to make products but it is the responsible way (re-purpose, re-cycle, re-use).

I take all precautions possible to reduce the chances of movement and cracking 2024, but since the reclaimed wood is over 100 years old, it can be unpredictable. All of our wood is completely kiln dried.

♥ PROTECT YOUR WOOD:
*The process for maintaining and preserving your cutting board is simple:
*Wash board with water and soap
*Gently rub the wood with sand paper
*Apply a generous amount of mineral oil and wipe off excess.
*Dry completely
*Not dishwasher safe - wipe with a damp cloth after use. Do not leave your board standing in water.
*Decorated with epoxy resin (ArtResin) which is non-toxic and certified as food safe.
*Ideal to avoid changes in temperature and keep the humidity levels between 40-60%.


♥ VARIATIONS:
Due to the natural of reclaimed wood, each board is unique in it's appearance. Your artisan board may be a different shape to the images shown and each will vary slightly in character, texture and colour. .

Each and every piece of wood tells it's own story through dents, nail holes, nails, cracks, worm holes, knots, axe cuts, saw marks and the like.
