1950's mohair monkey.
Rare! Lovely beige colored mohair monkey. I can not find anything similar on the internet so not sure if he is Steiff or Schuco, but most probably on of the two. This little character has posable wire arms and legs, making him ideal for your mohair figurine display. He has an airbrushed felt face, hands and feet. Exquisite brown and black glass eyes. The coppery orange ribbon around his neck possibly came with him.
Mystery monkey is in very good vintage condition for his age. Mohair generally still very good with no obvious bold patches, though I am sure there has been thinning out due to loss through the many many years he has been loved. Length 21 cm.
