Antique Hand Forged Miner's/Prospector's Pick Head 13 Inch Long Slight Curve with Hammer and 2024 Pick Ends 01697

An interesting old either antique or vintage pick head, most likely used in mining. This piece came from Colorado as a barn find and is in very good condition. It is about 13 inches long with one end tapering into a point and the other having a 6 sided hammer end. It has an irregular oval opening 1 3/8 by 3/4 inch in size. It shows drill 2024 marks as the mechanism used to make the opening. It weighs just over 2 pounds and has no rust other than surface. There are no marks found on the piece. A wonderful example of miner technology from another era.
