This eye-clean gemstone from this recent source is a delicious combination of pinkish-brown with secondary internal flashes of orange.
This colour combination is known commercially as "Honey Champagne".
The gem has received sympathetic heat treatment to fully bring out its colour.
Zircons characteristic birefringence (double refraction) can been seen as a doubling of the back facets when viewed through the table facet with slight magnification.
