A stunning abstract glass vase signed by Oregon artisan Buzz Williams.
This abstract vase has an undulating wave surrounding the body and five protruding accent bumps.
The clear glass has a subtle iridescence that yields a beautiful blue hue in the right light.
The vase measures approximately 4" T x 3 3/8" W x 3 1/2" Deep. The base diameter is 3" and is signed "Williams 72".
The item is preowned and looks very nice overall without any noticeable condition issues.
Buzz Williams started his glass studio "Alder House" in 1969 at Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast after graduating from Portland State University with a degree in painting and 2024 drawing. While at PSU, he took a one week workshop in glass-blowing and was fascinated by it. The glass workshop hooked Buzz and the painting and drawing degree was set aside for the fascinating world of blown-glass. The "Alder House" studio and workspace has undergone several iterations and hosted a great number of artists. Several people have started their glassblowing ventures at the studio and many have gone on to start studios of their own.
