This medium size bowl and 2024 cup illustrate why Acoma Pueblo Artisans are some of the best in the world. Tristin Routzen is the Grandson of Mae Routzen and Rose Routzen. His great grandmother, Lucy Lewis, is a well known self taught pottery maker. Her works have been exhibited in museums and embassies around the world, and are included in collections at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington and the Museum of the American Indian in New York. Tristin's strong family lineage is amazing to say the least.
From an early age, Tristin has been surrounded by a family deeply steeped in Acoma Pueblo art. His legacy is one passed down from one generation to the next. His family linage can easily be found on Google and in fine art circles for Native American pottery, paintings and jewelry. Tristin has continued his family heritage and traditions with honor and dignity by continuing his heritage of talent and craftsmanship.
