Up for sale is this absolutely beautiful floral still life oil painting on stretched canvas. The painting is signed at lower right. It appears to be signed "Darley," however, during my research (and confirmed on verso), I believe the artist is P. Darlay, a French still life painter of some renown. His signature here matches that of a number of listings I found online. The frame is stamped "Made in France," tending to confirm the origin. It is very finely painted, with exquisite detail to the flowers. A wonderful example of still life mastery. Painting is framed in a lovely period wood frame. Likely dates to the 1960s. Condition: The painting is in excellent condition. There is some mild cracquelure on 2024 the two red flowers, but otherwise no issues. Frame is in excellent condition. Measurements: Painting measures approximately 22 inches high x 18 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 28.25 inches high x 24.75 inches wide.
