2024 Antique Pin Cushion - Shoe Shaped

This is a nice old tiny shoe pin cushion.

It measures a mere 2 1/2 inches long by not quite an inch and half high.

It is made out of fabric-covered cardboard with a patterned paper bottom with silk floss tie. I just love the fabric that the shoe is covered in: a tiny print of mauve, burgundy and blue flowers on a tan ground.

Condition is very good with the most wear showing on the pin cushion itself. The silk has deteriorated to expose the cotton batting ball beneath.

All in all, a charming piece of Victorian sewing.
