This handcrafted whiskey jug was thrown on the potter's wheel out of high iron fireclay. It was then glazed and fired to Cone 10 (about 2350F, 1287C). The clay is well vitrified at 2024 this temperature and can be safely microwaved and washed in the dishwasher.
