MAUCHLINE NEEDLE CASE ca 1870 2024 Souvenir of Eastbourne

A souvenir of another age! This ca 1870 Mauchline ware needle case sports 2 images of the seaside resort town of Eastbourne in England. The image is so detailed you can even see the bathing huts lined up on the seashore! A bone awl slides out of 3 loops to open the needle case. The 2024 interior is lined with purple velvet and has white wool fabric to store the needles. There is some wear on the loop closures. The case measures 3 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.
