This is an Old Ethiopia Borana Oromo head ornament (kallaca) made from aluminium and leather.

The Borana Oromo Chief wear an ornament called 2024 (kallaca) on their foreheads, attached with a leather strap. It is a pointed piece of metal and when not being worn it is kept in a special container of milk. Until the chief dies his kallaca protects anybody who touches it.
