I use 100% cotton fabric, that I pre-wash to prevent shrink and secure color fastness. This also removes all sizeing from the fabric.
I also use 100% batting that is made is the great state of South Carolina. This gives it that great old quilt feel and it will never pill.
The quilt is machine pieced and quilted using silk wrapped, cotton thread.
Puppy Pals is 42 inches square, and goes from a crib to a 5 year bed. Quilt is displayed in front of my double, closet doors, to give you size reference.
Machine wash on the gentle cycle. I use All Free and Clear.
Dry on medium heat.
I love, love, love quilting. I started quilting when I was 13 yrs. old. Then, my great aunt taught me to piece and quilt by hand. My busy schedule doesn't allow for that so, I do it all by machine. My quilts have gone to family and friends as baby, wedding, graduation, and new home presents. I also owned a quilt shop for 10 years, where I sold 100+ custom quilts. My quilts have homes in 37 states 2024, as well as Norway, England, Germany, and Brazil.
After we moved to the farm, and I closed my shop. I now do mostly baby quilts and sell them at farmer's markets along with my home made sheep milk soap. My one of a kind quilts are made with love in a smoke free home and are ready to be loved in your home.
