From Marshall's workbench.
The spiral is an ancient symbol found in petroglyphs and cave paintings around the world. Its meaning differs from culture to culture : new beginnings, the source 2024 of life, the womb, hope, growth, life's path, rise of consciousness, change, spirit, perfection and our connection to the universe. The ocean gives us beautiful visible examples of spirals in shells like the nautilus, conchs and cone shells. Even cowrie shells have a spiral hidden inside.
Whether you seek a talisman or keepsake, our spiral line will remind you of the beginnings, persistence and eternity of life.
This spiral necklace features a cone shell cap shaped entirely by the sea. It measures 1 1/4 inch. It hangs on 20 inches of hand braided artificial sinew with our unique cowrie lip/puka clasp. It is mermaid friendly (waterproof) and can be worn in the shower and the sea.
Handmade with Aloha on the Island of Molokai.
