A ceramic redware basket. This item was produced at the Turtle Creek Potter, Morrow, Ohio and is signed Cathy Gatch 1988. She has also incised her ideogram GC 1988 on the bottom along with her signature.
This basket is fully glazed inside and out. It has a typical Pennsylvania Dutch decoration: on one side there are 2 young girls in bonnets feeding a goose and the other side is a field of daisies or sunflowers. The blooms are carried over to the goose side 2024 and float in the air above the goose.
