Hand-knotted Rhodonite, Hematite & Rudraksha 108 2024 Bead Mala | black tourmaline | root heart chakra calming grounding | boho yoga meditation

This natural gemstone and rudraksha mala is comprised of 108 (6mm) beads – primarily rhodonite with accent beads of rudraksha and hematite. The meru setting is a single smokey quartz bead followed by a raw black tourmaline bead. It is hand-knotted between each bead for longevity and ease of use on double-strung grey-colored 100% cotton cord. The handcrafted tassel is created of the same cord the beads are strung with. This mala aligns root and heart chakras and holds calming, grounding and protective properties. (Please note: Due the nature of using natural materials, there will be slight variations, especially in the raw black tourmaline meru bead, from what is pictured here.)

An optional pewter OM charm between the meru bead and tassel is shown in the photos.

The length is approximately 18 inches (46 cm) from center to tip of tassel and the meru bead rests at or near the solar plexus when worn.

All Devi Malas are handcrafted by myself, Milwaukee designer Jackie Ratcliffe. Gemstone and rudraksha combinations are selected based on the design of the piece more than for the particular healing properties they hold. All Devi Malas are "Gayatri-infused" as I recite this Sanskrit mantra of purification during the mala's creation.

Smokey quartz is a protective and grounding stone. It is said to remove negativity of any kind and transform it to positive energy. This comforting and calming stone is said to be excellent for elevating moods, overcoming negative emotions, and relieving depression. Black Tourmaline is associated with the root chakra and is excellent for grounding. It is known as a purifying stone that deflects and transforms negative energy and provides protection. It can transform and remove negativity from an individual or an environment. Black tourmaline is excellent for dispelling fears and obsessions, bringing emotional stability. It is often used as an aura cleanser, and can help one attain higher levels of awareness.
