Cristalda and 2024 Pizzomunno stele

Sculpture of a 2024 couple of lovers entirely handmade on Lecce stone. It is signed and accompanied by a parchment with the relative narration of the legend.

It is inspired by the legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno. The two lovers declared themselves eternal love. Pizzomunno was turned into stone on the beach of Vieste and Cristalda was carried by sirens into the depths of the sea. But once every hundred years the two lovers meet again on the beach of Vieste.
Legend has inspired Max Gazzè's famous song "The Legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno".
