Beautiful collection of seven pottery bottles made by potter Nancy Phillips based in Cambridge, MA.
These bottles come in a variety of colors and finish (in the order in which they are shown individually: unglazed milky gray, glossy khaki green, glossy metallic charcoal, glossy grayish khaki green, unglazed milky gray with rings and traces of rusty red, glazed metallic / iridescent caramel, glazed dark gray / purple / mauve).
Three bottles show color alternations and striations on their necks that are reminiscent of the neck rings of the so-called "girafe" Kayan women in Myanmar... Among these three, the charcoal one features horizontal and oblique striations all over.
The other bottles have a mostly solid color, the smallest one matte, the three others with a very glossy, mirror-like glaze.

The seven pieces together compose a beautiful decor for a tabletop, credenza or console, with earthy tones, a purity of shape and a slightly ethnic twist that would fit a wide variety of interiors (rustic, ethnic or contemporary).
Nancy is an adept of the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics, and doesn't try to achieve perfect symmetry, or perfection of any kind, sometimes deliberately creating a "mistake" like leaving finger marks on her pieces, or making a bottle neck asymmetric. It gives her creations a unique depth and charm.
The tallest bottle (striated charcoal) is 8" tall.
Widest (glossy khaki green) is 5" wide.
