Water Well Wire Framed Dated 1884 2024 Antique

We have a Wire Framed Water Well Marked Dated 1884 Antique Item. It is a twisted wire frame holding a ceramic rectangular removable well (inside measuring about 4 7/8" x 1 3/8" x 3" in H). The full piece measures about 11 3/4" in H x 5 1/4" in W x 2 1/4" in D all outside measurements. It is marked on the bottom "Wire Frame Water Well A. A. W. Patented June 17, 1884". It will hold water however the ceramic has grazing throughout with hairline cracks and 3 places where the ceramic has 2024 chunks missing (the larges shown in my photo being about 5/8" x 1/4" on the top back). The metal has very slight rust here and there. Overall for it's age this is a charming piece.
