Beautiful antique German beer stein dedicated to the sport of cycling. Stoneware relief stein features a cyclist and high wheel bicycle flanked by two Putti cherubs also riding high wheelers with steins in hand. Stein has metal lid. This stein belonged to my Father who was an avid stein collector.
Measurements: 5 1/4" tall
Condition: Used antique stein that appears to be in good condition. There are a few dark marks that almost look like rust spots. There are a few little chips right along the ridge above the cyclist - see photo, which may possibly be manufacturing flaws. Staining on the interior of the stein. Markings: unmarked but based on my research this is likely a Regensburg stein
Age: estimating late 1800's era.
